On 7 June 2016, Wix released ADI, which assembled a complete site from answers to a few questions, and from October 2023 the generators reached working code, with Vercel opening v0 to turn a written description into React and Tailwind components.
The brochure site is gone as paid work. A restaurant page, a plumber's five pages, a landing page for one product, all of that is now a paragraph typed into a generator, and the result is usually better than what a cheap agency delivered in 2015. What breaks is everything behind the first screen. Veracode tested more than a hundred models on 80 coding tasks in 2025 and found that when a secure and an insecure way of writing something were both available, the models chose the insecure one 45 percent of the time. Authorisation rules, data that must not leak between customers, payment flows, accessibility and the decision about what the site is for still need someone who knows what they are doing and can be called when it fails.
